Thai seasonings

Nam pla fish sauce
Use in a similar way as soy sauce.

Affects other ingredients' color less than soy sauce, and gives a sharp saltiness to dishes. High sodium content. Do not overuse.









Black soy sauce
 Thick, sweet sauce. For phad thai.









Chili paste
Add to dishes to spice them up. Also works with Japanese and Chinese food (as a substitute for tobanjan).




Chili garlic sauce
Adds some spiciness to dishes. Also great with Japanese and Chinese food (substitute for tobanjan).


Tamarind
 For phad thai.
