All recipes are for 2 servings unless noted. Oil is canola oil and salt is kosher salt.


Radisshu no namuru / radish namul salad

An airy little dish of julienned radishes.


4-6 radishes
1/4 small lemon (1/2 tsp lemon juice)
1/4 tsp sesame oil (not in photo)
Pinch salt (optional; not in photo)


Julienne radishes.


Place in a bowl, add sesame oil, and toss well.

Squeeze lemon juice, first 1/2 to 2/3 of the specified amount. Toss, taste, and add more if necessary.


Immediately before serving, sprinkle salt (optional), and toss.

  • Adding salt ahead of time causes this dish to get soggy. Salt can be added at the table.
